This film is surrounded by legend. There is a large group of his admirers, and even a fan club, whose members know it almost by heart, scene by scene. Where does the strength of this largely improvised stories about cruise steamboat cruise on the Vistula? The causes are probably few. Firstly, criticism of all enslavement, so veiled that having a value of satirical generalization. Secondly, difficult to achieve in the cinema feeling of spontaneity before the camera unfolding events. Finally, the share of unique personalities of Polish cinema: John Himilsbach, Maklakiewicz Zdzislaw Stanislaw Tym. Anyway - as devotees say - this film can not be described, it must necessarily look - every face, every grimace, situation after situation, frame by frame. After all, this is one of the smartest Polish comedy, recognized recently by the readers of "Polityka" for the best Polish film of all time. Aboard a cruise ship sailing on the Vistula River gets stowaway. The captain takes it as a new instructor cultural and educational, and stowaway willingly takes on the role. It organizes familiarization meeting, during which initiatives are born many events and activities. The participants represent an embarrassing level, and "kaowiec" increasingly revels in his role and gaining allies among the passengers on organizational and managerial instincts. Last turn: the feast of the captain, fancy dress, quiz intelligence, collective gymnastics, playing the man of fashion - it gets more stupid, more incongruously, but "management" cruise overwhelmed by a growing enthusiasm.
